Form 8936 is the IRS form used to claim the Clean Vehicle Credit for qualifying electric, plug-in hybrid, fuel-cell, and other clean vehicles. The form determines your eligible credit amount based on income limits, vehicle specifications, and whether the credit was transferred to the dealer at purchase.
