Form 2074 is the form for calculating and declaring capital gains and losses on securities, company shares and similar assets realised in 2025. It also covers distributions of gains by funds and profits on financial futures.
If you made only one of the listed transactions and your bank or broker calculated all your gains and losses, you can report the result directly on Form 2042 C. In all other cases you must file Form 2074, for example when you made several types of transaction or claim the enhanced holding-period allowance.
Dates and prices of purchase and sale, selling costs, the amounts reported by your broker or bank, and your holding periods where an allowance applies. The form separates gains by the type of allowance that applies.
Gains are taxed by default at a flat rate of 12.8% income tax plus social contributions. You can instead opt for taxation at the progressive income tax scale. The totals from Form 2074 are carried to your return, filed in the same campaign.
