Form CH01, Change of director's details, tells Companies House that something has changed about an individual who is a director of a company. It is the paper way to update the register and is filed in accordance with section 167H of the Companies Act 2006. Companies House also lets you file this information online.
You give the company number and name, the director's current details as they appear on the register, and the date the change took effect. You then complete only the sections that apply: a change of name, a change of service address, a change of usual residential address, or a change of country or state of residence or nationality.
The service address appears on the public record and does not have to be the director's home. You can write 'The Company's registered office' if that is the service address. The usual residential address is not shown on the public record. It cannot be a PO Box, DX or Legal Post number, and the form asks you to confirm no change to the residential address if you only change the service address.
In section 7 you enter a printed name and state the capacity in which you are acting, such as director, secretary or a person authorised under section 270 or 274 of the Companies Act 2006. A signature is not required. Form CH01 cannot be used to change a corporate director's details, which is done on Form CH02.
