Fill Out Form N-600: Application for Certificate of US Citizenship
Zendocs is not affiliated with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
The N-600 is the application to obtain a Certificate of Citizenship. It confirms your U.S. citizenship status if you automatically became a citizen through your parents either at birth or after birth.
You can apply at any age, but USCIS recommends doing so early to avoid complications when applying for passports, benefits, or employment.
While both provide proof of citizenship, the N-600 certificate is permanent, issued once, and can’t expire, whereas passports must be renewed regularly.
