Form I-821, Application for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), is issued by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). It allows eligible nationals of certain designated countries, or individuals without nationality who last resided in those countries, to request temporary immigration status in the United States. TPS provides protection from removal and authorization to work in the U.S. for a set period, as designated by the Department of Homeland Security.
