How ZenDocs billing works and what to expect on your statement
Last updated: by Zendocs Support Team
Zendocs is a premium subscription service. This page explains how Zendocs billing works, what the charge looks like on your bank or card statement, and how to manage your subscription so every charge is expected and easy to identify.
What you'll see on your statement
Charges from Zendocs appear on your card or bank statement under a Zendocs descriptor. The amount matches your active subscription rate. If you don't recognize a charge at first glance, see Charges from Zendocs explained to confirm what it relates to and review your options.
How your subscription begins
To create a Zendocs account, you provide your email address and a payment method, then choose a subscription plan. The plan options are displayed clearly on the checkout screen. You won't be able to proceed without selecting a plan and confirming both the trial price and the post-trial rate.
Your welcome email
Once you sign up, we send a comprehensive welcome email with everything you need to manage your account, including:
- Your subscription terms and conditions
- The amount and timing of your trial and post-trial charges
- Cancellation instructions and a direct link to the self-service portal
- Steps to update your payment method or email address
If you can't find your welcome email, search your inbox for zendocs and check your Promotions or Spam folder.
When charges occur
- At sign-up: A one-time $1 charge starts your 7-day trial (Section 4.1 of our Terms & Conditions).
- At the end of the trial: Your selected subscription rate is charged automatically and your plan begins.
- At each renewal: Your subscription renews on the same calendar date until you cancel.
All charges are processed using PCI-DSS compliant payment systems (Section 4.3) on the payment method you authorized at sign-up (Section 3).
How to manage or cancel your plan
You can update your plan, payment method, or email at any time from the Zendocs self-service portal. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription before your current period ends — your access continues until that period closes, and no further charge is taken.
For refund eligibility and timelines, see Refund processing and timelines on ZenDocs.
