The PIP2 is a detailed questionnaire that helps the DWP understand how your condition affects your everyday life. It covers both daily living activities (like cooking, washing, and managing medication) and mobility activities (like planning journeys and moving around).

Why do I need to fill out a PIP2 form?
Three main reasons:

Who needs to complete a PIP2 form?

• Anyone who has made an initial claim for PIP and has been sent the PIP2 form by the DWP.
• Claimants undergoing a review of their PIP award.

When don’t I need to complete a PIP2?
You won’t fill in a PIP2 if you haven’t started a PIP claim or if your claim is being handled under special rules for terminal illness (SR1 form instead).

When is the PIP2 form due?
You usually have 1 month from the date it was sent to you to return it. The deadline is printed on the covering letter.

Where do I send my completed PIP2?
Post it to the address on the letter that came with the form. If you miss the deadline, contact the DWP immediately to explain why and request an extension.
